The discharge load resistance is 0.025 ohms. The typical current will be 48 A. This is a constant resistance load module so the current will drop slightly as the voltage drops during the test. The rated capacity of this battery is 180AH. The typical discharge time to fully discharge a fully charged battery is 4.9 hours. This program indicates a PASS if the battery can last for 3.9 hours or 80% of expected capacity While the discharge test is proceeding the Yellow LED will flash to indicate the discharge test is underway. Note that the battery needs to be fully charged prior to being tested. This routine does not charge the battery. If the battery can last for 3.9 hours (232 minutes) then the Green LED will illuminate to indicate the PASS situation. If the battery cannot last for 3.9 hours (232 minutes) then the Yellow LED will illuminate to indicate a FAIL situation. To start a discharge test simply connect a fully charged battery. Remember to observe the correct polarity when connecting the battery. To begin a new test, simply remove the battery, wait for the green and yellow LED's to com ON then connect the next battery. If the initial battery voltage is less than 0.5V then the battery may not be detected and no test will begin. Whenever the test completes the beeper will sound for 10 seconds. Battery voltage cut-off is 1.0 V. There will be a slight voltage drop across the leads from current flow so the programmed voltage cut-off is set slightly less to 0.77 V.
